Bertan Jafer (born 12 January 1995), better known by his stage name B Young, is a singer and rapper from Hackney, East London and is of Turkish-Cypriot descent. Prior to music, he was a sound engineer.

B Young first gained popular attention with his song “Been Wavey”, and blew up following the release of “Jumanji” in 2018, which peaked at number 13 in the in the UK charts and number 5 in the UK R&B charts.

That same year, B Young released “079ME”

- which peaked at number 23 in the UK charts and number 12 in the UK R&B charts – as well as “Juice” – which also charted.

Since then, B Young has only released one song, “Gucci Demon” which also charted, peaking at number 63.
